They WERE verrry yummy! And soooo pretty! Sure looked like you spent a lot of time making them! I enjoyed visiting with you and hope to do some more "visiting" ... and eating! ;-) ~ Katy
Those cookies looks sinfully delicious and a bite won't just be enough, would it be possible for you to post what exactly is into it? if that's not too much to ask though :>
Would love to serve a similar thing to a get together :>
A few people have asked for this recipe- so here it is- first I made sugar cookies- I made homemade- but to save time and they are a very close second in taste- just use the Betty Crocker sugar cookie mix in the bag- you just have to add butter and and egg. The key is to make sure you don't overcook them- I usually bake them 8-10 minutes. For the cream cheese filling I take a block of cream cheese and let it come to just above room temp.- and then stick it in the kitchen aid and start adding powdered sugar- I don't measure I just keep adding until I get the consistency i want. Make sure you mix it until smooth. then add 1 t. of vanilla. I put this mixture into a zip-loc bag and barely cut the tip to squeeze out onto the cookies. Then you take strawberries that are washed and cut and add a tub of strawberry glaze and spread over cream cheese mixture. Next you take Guittard appeals and put in a zip-loc bag again and melt in microwave- all you do is heat for 20 seconds at a time and then take the bag out and squeeze it and keep doing this until they are totally melted. Cut the tip of the bag and drizzle over cookies- take 2 cups of toasted almonds that have been put through the grinder and sprinkle on top! Sooo-good- just made them again last night for a get-together. :)
"You will have significant experiences. I hope that you will write them down and keep a record of them, that you will read them from time to time and refresh you memory of those meaningful and significant things. Some may be funny. Some may be significant only to you. Some of them may be sacred and quietly beautiful. Some may build one upon another until they represent a lifetime of special experience." Gordon B. Hinckley, 2006

10/1/09- Meghan to Mom- side note (Jaidyn is wearing jean overalls with a red turtleneck). Mom when you go to town today all the old people are going to think Jaidyn looks cute. Why Meghan? Because she is dressed like they would dress :) Funny thing is- when we went to Wal-Mart- ALL the older people told me how cute she was!
How fragile life, how certain death. We do not know when we will be required to leave this mortal existence. And so I ask, “What are we doing with today?” If we live only for tomorrow, we’ll eventually have a lot of empty yesterdays. Have we been guilty of declaring, “I’ve been thinking about making some course corrections in my life. I plan to take the first step—tomorrow”? With such thinking, tomorrow is forever. Such tomorrows rarely come unless we do something about them today.President Thomas S. Monson
